MITCHELSTOWN CAVES & RIVER WALK
On Sunday 20th June, we finished off the year with a tour to Mitchelstown Caves followed by a trip to the woods for lunch.  After lunch we had two duck races in the river and then went on a river walk. SPLODGE, KILLEAGH WOODS
On Sunday 16th May, we participated in this years Splodge event, held in Glenbower Woods in Killeagh.  The day was very sunny and many of the bases on the hike involved a lot of mud and water activities !! MORE INFO & PICTURES >

INVESTITURE IN NAVY BASE
This years investiture was held in the Navy Base in Haulbowline after a tour of the base and the ship LE Niamh.  The bronze and Silver Arrows were also presented and over 75 merit badges.   MORE INFO & PICTURES >

PANCAKE NIGHT
Tuesday 24th February was Pancake Tuesday and the 38th Macaoimh decided to make some pancakes and eat them.  Batter, Coooking in Clann and Flipping... we did it all !  MORE INFO & PICTURES >

HIKE TO FARRAN WOODS
Sunday 17th Febuary, saw the first outdoor hike in 2004.  This was a joint hike to Farran Woods with the 40th Macaoimh.  The hike included Shelter Building, Map Making, Cooking Sausages, a Tracking Trail and finding a dead fish !  MORE INFO & PICTURES >

PRESENTATIONS
The end of the year was a good time to make some presentations - Macaoimh of the Month, New Rí and Aires and a farewell presentation to Fiona (38th Cork Macaoimh Leader) MORE INFO & PICTURES >

FUNDAY IN DONERAILE
On Saturday 4th October, we travelled to Doneraile Park in Co. Cork to attend one of the National Fundays for Cubs / Macaoimh.  The theme was "knights of olde" and the activities included archery, medieval display, fire lighting and cooking, flour bomb games, jousting games and a craft base to make coats of armour and shields. MORE INFO & PICTURES >
