NATIONAL
QUIZ 2005
|
 The
National Cub Scout/Macaoimh Quiz was held in Phibsboro
Scout Den in Dublin. The 38th Cork won the County
Quiz and qualified for the Final in Dublin. The
place was packed with teams from all over the country.

FARRAN
WOODS & ORIENTEERING |
 On
the 13th March, we had a joint hike with the 40th Cork
to Farran Woods. As well as building some really good
shelters, we also had an orienteering competition.

COUNTY
CHESS & DRAUGHT SUCCESS |
 The County Chess &
Draughts Final was held in Friary Hall, Doyle Road on
Sunday 27th February and every member of our 7-man team
won a prize. 2nd Place in the Draughts and 2nd place in
the Chess 'A' and Chess 'B' competitions. Pictures...

PANCAKE
NIGHT |
 On Shrove Tuesday, what
better way to spend the macaoimh meeting that cooking
pancakes. The pancakes were lovely, even if some of
the flipping was not ! |

COUNTY
QUIZ WINNERS 2005 !
|
 Sunday
23rd January saw the 38th Cork Macaoimh win the County
Quiz and take the trophy home. They beat the 40th
Cork into second place ! Pictures...

CHRISTMAS
CAMPFIRE
|
 On
Wednesday 16th December we has a Group Campfire in
Kilcully Campsite, The weather stayed dry and
everybody looked very festive in their Christmas

| WEEKEND
IN MOUNT MELLERAY |
 This
was our first weekend away this year and we went to Mount Melleray
from the 19th to 21st November. It was a joint weekend with the
40th Macaoimh and we were joined by the Beavers on the Sunday. Pictures... |

| COUNTY
HIKE TO MUCKROSS |
 On
Sunday 14th November we went on the County Hike to Torc and
Muckross. During the hike hike we did part of the the Map
Reader of Hiker Badges. Pictures... |

| HALLOWEEN
PARTY |
 On
Tuesday 26th October, the 38th Macaoimh had a very sucessful
Halloween Party. The hall was full of Ghosts, Monsters and other
scary creatures. Luckily there was food available to quell their
