GALTEE HILL WALK 2007

CHESS & DRAUGHTS 2007

COUNTY QUIZ 2007
On the Sunday 21st January we participated in the County Quiz Final held in Frankfield Community Centre.  We entered two teams in the quiz.  The results were very close and our best place was fifth, only 4 or 5 points behind the winning team  Pictures...
 
MACAOIMH CAMP 2006

Our Annual Macaoimh Camp took place in Kilcully from the 23rd to 25th June.  The theme was pirates and we went on a Harbour Tour, Completed the Naturalist Merit Badge in Fota, had a BBQ and some fun bases including a big inflatable Slide ! Pictures...

 
TOGHER GARDA STATION VISIT 2006

On 28th March the 38th Macaoimh visited the Garda Station at Togher.  They had a talk about the role of the Garda, a tour of the station and got to see and ride on the Patrol Bike and Garda Car. They also meet  ‘Jessie’ the tracker dog. Pictures...

 
ROSTELLAN HIKE 2006
This was a joint activity with the 40th Macaoimh on Sunday 5th March 2006.  During the hike we made Backwoods Shelters, Made a stretcher to carry an "injured" person as a first aid project and of course cooked sausages. Pictures...  
 
CIVIL DEFENCE 2006

On Tuesday 21st Feb, the 38th Macaoimh visited the Cork City Civil Defence HQ in Ballyvolane. The Macaoimh  were shown the Fire Engine, Ambulance and Sea Rescue Boat. The had a Drill and Water display. Two members – Brendan O’Sullivan and Daniel Chawdley presented a plaque and 38th neckerchief  to recognise the visit to John Tyner
