VISIT TO
LORD MAYOR 2008 |
 On
Wednesday 12th March, the Ballinlough Scout group were
invited to visit the Lord Mayor of Cork at the City
Hall. The evening was a very enjoyable and all scouts
were presented with the 100 years badge and a special
pin of the City of Cork Coat of Arms

FOUNTAINSTOWN |
 Towards
the end of the year we had one of our meeting outside
the hall on the beach in Fountainstown. It was a great
night and nobody got wet !!

FOTA |
 Cork
South Scout County organised a Beaver Day for all the
Beavers in the County. The day out was to Fota
Wildlife Park and Gardens and it was very enjoyable

VALENTINES NIGHT |
 This
year the Beavers celebrated Valentines Day, with a joint
meeting with the local Cygnet Group. The meeting
included Valentine Arts & Crafts making Valentines
Baskets.

CHRISTMAS
PANTOMIME |
 The
traditional Beaver trip to the Pantomime was organised by the County
this year, and the Beavers from Ballinlough had nearly a full
attendance ! More details and pictures to follow.

CHRISTMAS
CAMPFIRE |
 On
16th December we organised the Group Campfire with Cian and Mary
from the Venturers. It was a great night. Everybody wore
funny hats and we sang scout songs and Christmas songs. Pictures...

FUN
DAY IN MOUNT MELLERAY |
 On
Sunday 21st November, we took to bus to Mount Melleray o meet up
with the Macaoimh who were staying there for the weekend. We
joined in the Fair Day organised by the scouts, where
you had different stalls and "Melleray Money" to spend
at each stall. There was a prize draw at the end.
After the fair we did the obstacle course and then went
for lunch. After lunch we went on a walk to the
Monastery and got back just before it started raining !

COUNTY
BEAVER DAY |
 On
Sunday 7th November we went to Kilcully Campsite for
the County Beaver Day. There were loads of
events, including, launching rockets, a
mini-campfire and a hotdogs and drinks
afterwards.
