year our Annual Cub/Macaoimh Camp was held from 20th to
22nd May 2005 in Kilcully with 16 macaoimh staying under
canvas. This years we had a Western Theme on on
Friday night we made Totem Poles, Sheriff Badges, Indian
Head Gear and Hobby Horses.
Saturday involved an early
start and the bus to Trabolgan, which which includes,
Swimming, Orienteering, Adventure Playground, Crazy Golf and
Game sin the Sports Hall / Jungle Gym. Leaving
Trabolagn we called into St Oliver's in Ballyvolane for mass
on the way back and all got ice cream and supported the Down
Syndrome Ice Cream Sunday Fundraiser.
Then it was back to
Kilcully, changing into the Western Costumes and the BBQ.
After the BBQ we has the races with Hobby Horses. After the
Final of the Race we had a campfire and after supper headed
off to bed.
Sunday threatened rain, but
managed to stay dry for the bases in the morning, including
Archery, Horse Shoe Throwing, Frisbee Golf, Treasure Hunt
and of course the Flour Bomb Game.
