On Wednesday 12th March, the
Ballinlough Scout Group were invited to visit the Lord
Mayor of Cork at the City Hall. After the official
photographs, one member from each section made a
presentation to the Lord Mayor, including a neckerchief
with our Group colours, a scout torch and a scout
penknife. The Lord Mayor then spoke of the importance of
teamwork and presented all members with the
commemorative centenary badge and a special pin with the
coast of arms of the City of Cork. Some
refreshments followed and an opportunity for everyone to
chat to the Lord Mayor.
