Visit to Lord Mayor 2008

On Wednesday 12th March, the Ballinlough Scout Group were invited to visit the Lord Mayor of Cork at the City Hall. After the official photographs, one member from each section made a presentation to the Lord Mayor, including a neckerchief with our Group colours, a scout torch and a scout penknife. The Lord Mayor then spoke of the importance of teamwork and presented all members with the commemorative centenary badge and a special pin with the coast of arms of the City of Cork.  Some refreshments followed and an opportunity for everyone to chat to the Lord Mayor.
