The Scouts came 5th in this year's Shield competition with a total score of 2466 out of 3275. The awards were given out at the closing ceremony of camp craft weekend on Sunday 4th May where we collected the Most Improved trophy.

On
Wednesday 12th March, the Ballinlough Scout group were
invited to visit the Lord Mayor of Cork at the City
Hall. The evening was a very enjoyable and all scouts
were presented with the 100 years badge and a special
pin of the City of Cork Coat of Arms

This
year the scout troop took both first and second prize in
the County Quiz. Obviously we're delighted with the
result. There were 12 teams from the county at the quiz
and first and second were to go through to the National
Challenge Day in Larch Hill in February '08.

first hike of the new scouting years to to the Commeragh
Mountains in Co. Waterford on Sunday 30th September.

World Scout Jamboree was held in Essex in the UK and
coincided with the 100th Anniversary of the first every
scout camp on Brownsea Island in 1907. 7 Scouts
and 5 Leaders attended the 2 week event. Pictures
