Child Safeguarding Statement
Our Groups Child Safeguarding Statement is:
(a) displayed in the Scout Hall for activities in the hall
(b) available in Section Record Book with the section leader for activities outside the hall
(c) available online via our website – Cork Child Safeguarding Statement
The Group has conducted a Risk Assessment and the latest update was on 23rd September 2019. A copy is available to any parent or scout on request.
Child Safeguarding Reporting Procedure
If a parent has a child welfare or risk or harm concern regarding scouting activities, then they should inform the Section Leaders.
If it is a serious concern, it can be reported directly to the group Leader or Scouting Ireland’s Safeguarding Staff
The relevant Person for Scouting Ireland is a member of Scouting Ireland’s professional staff and can be contacted on 01 4956300 or firstname.lastname@example.org
If leaders have a concern, they should follow the reporting procedure on page 25 of the Code of Good Practice (March 2019 Version)
